My visual scrapbook, in online form. Nothing much personal here (outside of what I like/what inspites me etc) so you'll have to look elsewhere if you want that.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
““Chuck” was a show with a lot of moving parts, mixing a lot of tones and styles and genres into a blender. Some weeks, everything worked. Some weeks, only some parts worked. Some weeks, we basically had to wrestle our brains to the ground to accept that the plot could actually work the way it did. But “Chuck” was a show where we forgave a lot because the joy of the show — both of the people making it and that we could feel watching it — was always so palpable. These people loved making this ridiculous show, and we loved them for it.” [x]

I have a weird desire to rewatch ‘Last Friends’, even though its really bad. Bad in a Teen Jdrama kind of way (i.e. overly melodramatic but awfully pretty to look at).
It’s a show about a group of friends who hang around in vests playing with red ribbon and their crazy melodramatic love lives. I can’t recall names or the exact plot but its something like:
The main female character moves in with her boyfriend, who in turn becomes incredibly violent (physically, emotionally and mentally), around the time she stumbles into her (female) high school friend who, as it turns out, is in love with her. She also is in the process of beginning gender realignment surgery and is an upcoming motorbike…person (my spots knowledge be rocking) but when she’s not doing that she frequents a bar, in which the (apparently only) barman fancies her. They all end up moving into the motorbike woman’s house, who she shares with a female friend. This friend works for an airline and kind of starts a relationship with her colleague whose wife has just left him. Oh and of course the first woman I mentioned is pregnant.
It’s that kind of show.
But fun to watch when you want to zone out. Plus its all filmed on location in Tokyo so it’s visual porn. Naturally it stars Eita, who seems to be in every Japanese thing I watch. And it has a melodramatic (but catchy) theme tune that fits so well with the whole tone of the show.
But alas I deleted it after watching and can’t be bothered to download it again.
Vivian Charles.
Oh show, why did you go away? You were literally a ray of sunshine in my life.

Lilly Kane was amazing.
Kristen Bell is in a new show and nobody thought of telling me?
