Some Nights was released in the UK today. Naturally I went to HMV on Oxford Street.
It’s 01:10 and I have to be up in a few hours so I should get to sleep
but I’m still tripping balls about the fun. gig. Was so awesome talking to all of the guys and Andrew remembering who I was just made my year.
Got loads of photos to work through too. I already have one photoset in mind: Nate Ruess’ sex faces. Expect it soon.
I love this photo. I imagine the backstory is something like this:
Andrew: Look, I can do a jumping karate chop!
Nate: So you can.
Jack: I have feet!
Which means I probably won’t go to the one in New York. Would have been cool but going to cost me about £700 and I don’t have that kind of dollar spare.
The video for the acoustic version of Why Am I The One was clearly shot at the same time as the acoustic We Are Young…
does this mean they performed the whole album acoustically while there?

Actually I’ve just finished watching it and it said “We Are Young available now”. Sloppy but amusing editing.
Friend spending a year in Aus has just told me We Are Young is number 1 over there.
Happy feelings.

Last week I did a moany post (it was about 8am in my defense) about how in the UK we’re deprived of a lot of content (beyond the band’s control) and some people messaged me offering help :)
Sorry it has taken me so long to say thanks (crazy week!) but I do appreciate everyone helping me out. You guys rock!

I’m glad I only listened to 3 songs on Some Nights before today.
Making listening to it now a beautiful thing.
